Norland Index Matching Liquid (IML) 150 is a low viscosity liquid monomer used as an index matching media for temporary fiber slicing. Unlike silicone index matching liquids which are difficult to completely remove from a fiber end after use, IML 150 is easily removed using acetone. This index matching liquid can also be used between two optical elements to eliminate reflection losses caused by glass-air interfaces. Norland Index Matching Liquid (IML) 150 is available in preloaded syringes with either 6g or 30g of liquid. IML 150 does not cure and will always remain a liquid.
